The Shrek Cocktail Recipe
The Shrek is a Standard Squeeze original. We created this one ourselves, and it might be the easiest round you will ever pour. One Squeeze of everything, a quick blend, and you are done. It looks green and a bit wild on the outside. Inside it is smooth chocolate-mint silk.
Ingredients
- Green Crème de Menthe - 30ml (1 Squeeze)
- Frangelico - 30ml (1 Squeeze)
- Baileys - 30ml (1 Squeeze)
- Kahlúa - 30ml (1 Squeeze)
- Milk or cream - 30ml (1 Squeeze)
- Chocolate topping - for the rim and dusting
Method
- Rim a martini glass with chocolate topping.
- Add the green Crème de Menthe, Frangelico, Baileys, Kahlúa and milk or cream to a blender with a small amount of ice.
- Pulse until just smooth.
- Pour into the rimmed martini glass.
- Dust the top with a line of chocolate powder, like a cappuccino. It spreads and looks a bit green and wild on the outside. That is part of the charm. Inside it is smooth and delicious.
Squeeze Tip
Go easy on the ice. A small handful is all you need. Pulse it, do not blend it to death. Too much ice and it goes watery and loses that creamy body. You want it just chilled and silky.
